Our Principal

Hello Adams Families!

I am Dana Simmons, the proud principal of Adams Elementary School. The School District of Janesville has always been a part of my life, so it is an honor to work for it in a different capacity.

I hold an Elementary Education Degree with a Science Minor, a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Reading, and Language Arts, and a Certification in Educational Leadership. Before coming to Adams Elementary, I taught ELL, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade levels. I have also served as an Academic Learning Coach.

Children have always held a special place in my heart. This is also evident outside of school, as my husband and I have two children (1 girl and 1 boy). They fill our lives with joy and keep us busy. As we embark on the new school year, I look forward to working with the Adams community to help students grow.
